
Paul ValcheffPaul brings over 20 years of experience in bringing companies, products, and services to market. He specializes in growing on-demand revenues strategically and rapidly. His expertise is building and dynamically executing a go-to-market strategic plan, based on a unique, core underlying technology or service. Whether it be an early-stage venture, private equity re-launch, or Fortune 500 spin-off, he brings results and success, quickly and methodically. With skills in business and corporate development, marketing, product management, and sales, he focuses on working with the right team in order to build a successful company.
Currently, he is focusing on the areas of Software-as-a-Service, virtualization, and cloud computing. He serves on the board of Bscaler, an early stage SaaS company with a business management solution, and on the Advisory Board of Magnolia Prime, an on-demand scheduling voice service targeting the aging community.
At Symantec, he developed partner channels and alliances for Software-as-a-Service offerings. As Vice President of Business Development at AppStream (acquired by Symantec), he led the development and go-to-market strategy of an On-Demand platform for delivering PC-based applications using a SaaS business model. He signed strategic and OEM partnerships throughout the world by cultivating strong partner relationships. As Vice President at Fordela, he created a video management system for delivering near-DVD quality video over the Internet with an integrated Learning Management System. As CEO of PurgoMail, he re-positioned this Internet start-up into a perimeter-based message management service, based on open source software and an ASP business model.
Paul earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and a minor in Economics from the Pennsylvania State University. He is active with the Penn State Alumni Association, Phi Sigma Kappa Alumni Association, and the CMO Club.
In real life, Paul lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and three young children, where he practices being an “on-demand” father and husband. In his spare time (hardly), he enjoys golfing, basketball, and creating custom-made stone and tile projects.
