SageCreek Partners Appoints Jan Newman as Vice President; Signs Matrix42 As Account

Alpine, Utah, November 19, 2009SageCreek Partners (www.sagecreekpartners.com) , a consulting company that provides mentor capital for technology companies, is continuing its 2009 growth with the appointment of Jan Newman, former Altiris and Keylabs CEO, as Vice President. In addition, SageCreek announced a client relationship with Matrix42, a leading IT-Commerce platform provider with headquarters in Germany and Atlanta, Ga.

Since its European launch in 1992, Matrix42 has become a leading provider of cutting-edge systems management with more than 3 million computer systems under management. Matrix42 is currently expanding in the US under the direction of Shane Eliason, former Altiris VP of Sales in the Americas, where he led sales growth from $10M to more than $125M. Prior to Altiris, Eliason led sales efforts for IBM, Simon & Schuster and Peregrine. Matrix42 is redefining the way IT departments provide IT services and client lifecycle management for their customers through IT-Commerce.

SageCreek Vice President Jan Newman is a software entrepreneur with more than 20 years of executive experience who has held executive level positions with multi-billion dollar companies as well as small start up ventures.

Newman began his career as a software engineer for Novell, Inc., eventually becoming EVP of the $1B NetWare Systems group. In 1996 he founded KeyLabs, Inc. and sold that company to Exodus Communications for $42 million in 1999. Prior to selling KeyLabs, he founded Altiris, Inc., a company that used software delivery technology developed at KeyLabs to revolutionize the systems management industry. Altiris completed a public offering in 2002 and was purchased by Symantec Corp. in 2007 for more than $1B.
