Central Logic Expands Senior Management Team with Appointment Of Mike Samuelian as New Vice President of Sales

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — July 9, 2010 — Central Logic, Inc., the healthcare industry’s leading provider of innovative patient flow software and consultative expertise, today announced it has expanded its senior management team with the appointment of seasoned technology executive Mike Samuelian to the new position of vice president of sales. The addition of Samuelian, which coincides with Central Logic’s dynamic growth over the past 18 months, enables the company to rapidly broaden its strategic sales efforts and related operations within patient transfer centers, and further penetrate new and existing market segments with its highly-regarded solutions portfolio.

In this newly-created role, Samuelian will oversee all of Central Logic’s sales and business development initiatives, and build out the company’s sales infrastructure to drive customer acquisition and retention programs. Additionally, other responsibilities include the hiring, recruitment, and management of sales professionals; inside sales development; the oversight of sales logistics; and the negotiation and establishment of long-term strategic partnerships and alliances with complementary enterprises. Samuelian reports directly to Darin Vercillo, MD, co-founder and chief executive officer of Central Logic, and a practicing physician.

“Given Central Logic’s rapid growth, and its critical need to effectively develop and serve an expanding base of distinguished customers, we felt we needed to bring in a successful, highly-experienced executive who can build a world-class sales organization and add significant value to Central Logic’s senior management team,” said Vercillo. “Mike possesses the experience, leadership, and knowledge to manage the company’s anticipated growth, and to take the company’s sales initiatives to another level of sophistication and results. Moreover, Mike’s background is ideally suited to extend the impact and reach of Central Logic’s patient flow platform. His leadership experience with early-stage technology concerns, such as Altiris, combined with his proven track record in designing high-caliber sales organizations, will be invaluable to Central Logic going forward.”

“With an industry-leading suite of products, and deployments in many of the nation’s leading hospitals and healthcare systems, the company is in a position to significantly improve patient flow efficiency,” said Samuelian. “This is an exciting time to be joining Central Logic, and I look forward to contributing my sales and business development expertise to help the company achieve its ambitious business objectives.”

Prior to joining Central Logic, Samuelian was vice president of sales at Symantec Corporation, which acquired his former employer, Altiris Corporation, in 2007. During his seven-year tenure at Altiris as vice president of sales and strategic alliances, Samuelian grew revenues from $3 million in 1999 to $247 million in 2006 by building a global sales organization, opening major sales offices throughout North America, and developing and expanding a reseller and systems integrator channel that generated significant revenue to the corporation.

Previously, Samuelian served as director of strategic alliances at Legato Corporation, which purchased his employer, Vinca Corporation. While at Vinca, he managed the company’s international sales activities, including identifying and recruiting a global network of resellers and systems integrators, and forging strategic relationships with larger server manufacturers such as Compaq, Dell, HP, and IBM. Additionally, he was vice president of Western regional sales at Jostens Learning Corporation, and held multiple sales roles with Wicat Systems.

Samuelian attended Brigham Young University, where he studied business administration. Currently, he serves on the board of directors of YouthLinc, a Salt Lake City-based non-profit organization which creates life-long humanitarians.
