Former Executives from Altiris and Symantec Found SageCreek Partners

Thursday, July 17, 2008 8:59AM

Three executives who were key in the growth and success of Altiris have founded SageCreek Partners.  Greg Butterfield, former Altiris CEO, Dwain Kinghorn, former Altiris CTO, and Steve Erickson, former Altiris CFO, have started a new venture to help small technology companies grow. While at Altiris they grew revenue from $4M in 1999 to over $230 in 2006. The team was instrumental in the sale of Altiris to Symantec for over $1B. The team has a combined 50+ years of experience in senior management positions at companies both large and small.

Most recently the team was working at Symantec and spent the past 15 months successfully integrating the Altiris business into the broader Symantec infrastructure. While at Symantec, Greg, Dwain, and Steve helped ensure that the Altiris revenue grew and revenue targets were met, and that the Altiris software platform was used as the foundation of the Symantec Collaboration Architecture.

“At SageCreek Partners, we are going to use our collective experience to help a number of other companies sort through the same types of issues that we have successfully tackled in our past experience,” said Dwain Kinghorn. “I have total confidence that the best practices and principles that we have used in our prior roles drive growth and profitability.”

The firm will provide services for a variety of different technology companies.
